Advertising campaignHydro-Québec: Clean energy to power us all

For 75 years, Hydro-Québec has been boldly putting Québec ingenuity and innovation to work, generating clean, reliable power for its customers. The utility’s new advertising campaign, unveiled today, reflects the ongoing energy transition and at the same time salutes the company’s impressive history.

Clean energy to power us all

A new signature, new positioning and a distinctive new image are all elements of the ad campaign that underscores Hydro-Québec’s strengths and its global leadership in renewable energy. With power from over 99% renewable sources, primarily water, Québec is a world-renowned example of which we can be proud.

“For 75 years now, Hydro-Québec has been built by enthusiastic employees dedicated to Québec’s development. Our commitment to future generations is to ensure that everyone benefits from our very own clean power,” said Éric Martel, President and Chief Executive Officer of Hydro-Québec.

Light spectrum central to Hydro-Québec’s new image

Because it generates clean, renewable power, Hydro-Québec is a brilliant solution for the issues of the future. The light—representing our energy—combined with water—our wealth—produces a spectrum containing both orange and blue, the colors of the company’s logo.

Hydro-Québec is investing $2.3 million in the advertising campaign, which will run from March 18 to May 26. That will come out of the annual advertising budget and rates will not be affected.

The budget covers TV commercials, high-impact billboards, posters in a number of metro stations, digital ads in various Québec media and social media content.

Hydro-Québec would like to applaud the work of Québec agency lg2 and director Raphaël Ouellet of Montréal production company Gorditos.
